General Administrative Assistant:
Primarily uses office-suite software for a wide range of word processing,
spreadsheet and presentation projects. Fields telephone calls, sets up
filing systems and organizes workflow. Aids other assistants during peak
work periods as needed. May work for multiple supervisors.
Senior Administrative Assistant:
Position requires similar but stronger skills and more extensive experience
as Administrative Assistant. Supports senior management and supervises
and trains other support staff.
Executive Assistant: Professional
assistant who performs top-level administrative duties for executive management.
Arranges meetings, travel and telephone or videoconferences, screens calls,
and prepares financial reports and operational presentations. Requires
strong computer and Internet skills as well as excellent interpersonal
skills, project management experience and flexibility.
Human Resources Administrative Assistant:
Screens calls and schedules interviews, conducts basic Internet recruiting
using job boards, scans resumes, compiles new employee orientation packages
and maintains employee computer and manual files. Trusted with confidential
material and information.
Sales Administrative Assistant:
Similar to Administrative Assistant, but supports the sales department
exclusively. May assist regional sales staff based in remote locations.
Processes expense reports, coordinates and helps develop new business
proposals, plans meetings, arranges travel, tracks sales data, maintains
sales database and serves as a liaison between traveling sales representatives
and the home office.
Marketing Administrative Assistant:
An Administrative Assistant who supports a marketing department exclusively.
Assists with trade shows and event planning, creates or updates online
and offline presentations, tracks budgets and expenses and communicates
with outside marketing firms and agencies.
Legal Administrative Assistant:
Performs sophisticated word processing projects. Creates graphics, imports
spreadsheets, charts and other files, handles styles and advanced formatting,
troubleshoots integration Issues and requires minimal supervision.

Receptionist: Welcomes vendors,
customers, job applicants and other visitors. Handles incoming calls,
performs general administrative duties and arranges for transportation
services when needed. May also assist other administrative staff with
overflow work.
Executive Receptionist: Performs
similar duties as Receptionist but works exclusively for executive area
of company. Welcomes important clients and vendors, may arrange executive
meetings and travel.
Front Desk Coordinator: Manages
the company's lobby area. Greets and directs all visitors, including vendors,
clients, job candidates and customers. Ensures completion of paperwork,
sign-in and security procedures. Handles special administrative projects,
as well as overflow work. A highly professional demeanor is required.

Mail Assistant: Sorts and
distributes incoming and outgoing mail. Operates manual and electronic
mailing equipment. Position usually found in larger companies.
General Office Assistant:
Performs general clerical tasks. Operates basic office equipment. Sorts

Data Entry Specialist: Inputs

Customer Service Specialist:

Senior Customer Service Specialist:
Same duties as Customer Service Specialist but with stronger work experience
in each function. Additional duties may include proactive communication

database records, drafting status reports on customer service issues and
supervising staff.
